The LCMS U National Gathering in Fort Wayne, Indiana was an amazing experience for all our students who attended! The conference was a great opportunity to learn a lot about witnessing and a bunch of other topics, attend incredible services, make new friends, and see old ones. It was also many in our groups first experience with the campus of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, which has beautifully designed buildings by Eero Saarinen! This gathering occurs every two years, so we hope to see you at the next one!
We had our end of semester Christmas Party de-stresser and had a bunch of fun with minute to win it games and
ginger bread house building contests!!!
Our LCMS U team participated in two separate inter-murals this semester, Ultimate Frisbee and Volleyball. Unfortunately, we were all to busy playing to snap any photos of Frisbee, but we had a particular sideline coach snap these for us of volleyball!!! Thanks John Augustine for taking one for the team!
We had our annual Reformation & Halloween Party! There was pumpkin carving, a costume contest, games, a bonfire with smores, and lots of other goodies to be eaten!
We had a Bake Sale at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, campus, and at Faith Lutheran in Abilene!! The funds raised helped to send us to the national retreat later that year!
We had our annual Back to School BBQ Labor Day weekend with plenty of good food and fun!
We had great attendance at our first Bible Study of the year! If you are interested in coming next time we meet every Thursday at 9pm. We would love to see you there!
LCMS U had a great time out at the lake this summer. It was a fun destresser before school started and yes, we are attempting to do tricks on the tube... to see more images go to the photo gallery!
Two of our own were married! Peter Jensen, 2017 graduate, and Mary Fishburn, 2018 graduate, celebrated their union on Saturday,
July 7th at Mary's home church in Haven, KS, and many of our LCMS U group came out to celebrate with them!
LCMS U had a great time with a trip to World's of Fun! It was great to see everyone mid-summer, and we are now looking forward to the start of the school year with renewed enthusiasm!
The LCMS U had tons of fun with our end of the year bonfire out at Tuttle! Although we are sad to say goodbye to our seniors, we still had a good time skipping stones and fortifying our burgers with extra minerals by cooking them on a rock!
